Airlines from various countries, are invited to submit applications for pre- and post-Hajj flight operations

Saudi Arabia unveiled its highly-anticipated flight schedule for the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage, a critical event for millions of Muslims worldwide.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) released a comprehensive plan for "pre-judge" flights, set to commence on May 9, 2024, and continue until June 10, 2024.

Return journey for pilgrims begins in June

The return journey for pilgrims departing from Saudi Arabia is earmarked to begin on June 20, 2024, with the final flight for Hajj 2024 departing from Saudi Arabia on July 21, 2024.

The GACA has invited airlines from various countries, including Pakistan, to submit applications for pre- and post-Hajj flight operations until January 1, 2024, ensuring a smooth and organized travel experience for pilgrims.

However, the much-anticipated release of the Hajj Policy for 2024 faced an unforeseen setback when the press conference, originally scheduled by the Minister of Religious Affairs, was postponed.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs attributed this delay to ongoing discussions and initiatives aimed at reducing the cost of the Hajj packages.

Federal cabinet approves notable modifications

Reports have indicated that the Federal Cabinet recently granted approval to the Hajj Policy for 2024, introducing several significant changes. This policy is characterized by greater inclusivity, incorporating public recommendations to enhance the overall experience for pilgrims and create a more streamlined and efficient process.

The 2024 Hajj pilgrimage is expected to be a momentous occasion for Muslim pilgrims, with both the flight schedule and forthcoming policy changes designed to improve the journey for all participants.

Stay tuned for further updates as we await the release of the Hajj Policy and the latest developments on this historic pilgrimage.
